Hi everyone! Macs are awesome computers to use, however, you might have forgotten your Mac’s password, so, let’s take a look at some ways we can reset a forgotten password on our Macs!

First of all, Apple recommends that you’re within your login window of your Mac, you might be outside of that panel, so make sure your login panel looks something like this:

You can enter your passcode up to three times, if you don’t do it properly, a little option will come up at the bottom which will allow you to reset your password in a few different ways:

One of these ways is by using your Apple ID, so, you can go ahead and type in your Apple ID, use the verification code that is sent to you, and once you go through the verification process, you should be able to go and successfully change the password of your Mac!

If this method doesn’t work, you can also reset your device by using the recovery keys, this is by clicking the option to reset using your recovery keys, under your FileVault recovery key option, you want to type in the specific key that you set up before, you will then be able to type in your new password and reset it!

There you have it! Do you know of any other ways to reset your password on your Mac? I would love to hear your thoughts about this!

Thanks So Much!
